          Life for Rent...
:: Monday, January 03, 2005 ::You know how sometimes you can listen to a song and never really hear it, I guess in much the same way you can see someone and never truly know them. On the way to work this morning, after waking up late again for the second time this week I might add, I stopped to actually listen to the lyrics of Dido's song Life for Rent for perhaps the first time and the words really struck a chord with me. And since this my site after all, I decided to share the verse that jumped out at me.

I've always thought that I would love to live by the sea
To travel the world alone and live more simply
I have no idea what's happened to that dream
Cause there's really nothing left here to stop me
 It's just a thought, only a thought

But if my life is for rent and I don't learn to buy
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
Cause nothing I have is truly mine

What can I say, I can relate. Out.

          Happy New Year…
Well 2004 has come and gone and what a year it’s been. Well not really. 2003 was better. Maybe I’ll have more luck with 2005. I hope everyone rang in the new year with friends and/or family and did so responsibly without too many should we say repercussion. I myself spent the evening in downtown SD with all the crew for Vu’s bday bash at Red Circle. Though I don’t remember much of it, the fragments that come to mind indicate I had a generally good time. Now it’s back to the dull grind that is corporate America and I don’t even have Chris here (he’s still on vacation, damn him!) to help pass the time. Oh well, back to reading about sports. Later.
